I think you and jwert and I are all connected through old Jacob Weisser, great-grandfather of the famous Conrad Weiser. The wonderful resource for this family is "Conrad Weiser, Friend of Colonist and Mohawk" by Paul A.W. Wallace (648 pages). The Kern name is in there also as one of Conrad's lieutenants at Ft.
