I just posted to another person on this forum concerning Christofel Weisskopf who arrived in Philadelphia on the Loyal Judith in 1743. I have decided to try to discover more about my own ancestor Frederick Fiscus) from that ship, by looking for other ship passengers.
Frederick Fiscus lived for an undetermined short time near Germantown, PA. At some point he moved to Conestoga Township in Lancaster County, PA. (This information comes for the Revolutionary War pension record of his youngest son and the Moravian "death" memoirs of his daughters.) By 1762, Frederick (with a new wife) and his family have moved to North Carolina.
I have never found ANY information in PA records for Frederick or his family. That is why I am inquiring about the location of your Weiskopf ancestors in Lancaster County. If Frederick owned land, there is no record.
There is evidence of a purchase of land in Maryland and some unspecified financial conclusion between Frederick Fiscus and a Peter Youngblood. This same land passed through the hands of a man named "Uncle Uncles," and there were two men named "Runckel" on the Loyal Judith in 1743.
Because I am trying to discover what happened to Frederick's oldest daughter, Maria Margaretha, I still keep trying to learn what I can about the family's stay in Pennsylvania.
I hope that you might have information which will provide a clue.
Thank you. (My email isn't working, so I can only communicate with you through this forum.)
