Ronald G. Weis of Grayslake since 2001 Services for Ronald G. Weis, 71, formerly of Niles, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home Ltd., 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Born June 5, 1935, in Chicago, he passed away Monday, March 26, 2007, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was a former longtime employee of the Niles Department of Public Works. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; children, Thomas Weis of Ocean Side, Calif., Michael (Lori) Weis of Libertyville, Christine Caplinger-Gillespie of Glen Ellyn and Joan Weis of Palatine; stepdaughter, Michelle (Chris) Armes of Wauconda; grandchildren, Samantha, Jason, Brian and Connor; stepgranddaughter, Rebecca; brother, Fred (Leanna) Weis of Lena, Ill.; and sister, Marilynn Weis of Grayslake. He was preceded in death by his first wife, June on November 1, 1995. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of Illinois, 3000 Kelly Lane, Springfield, IL 62711-6266.
