I am looking for Weis family members who came from Berbourg, Luxembourg and settled first in St. Donatus, IA. My family settled near Springbrook, IA. My greatgrandfather was John Weis, born July 29, 1824 and married to Margaretha Gosche. He had a brother Peter Weis, born September 18, 1838. He married Mary Gosche. There was also a Bernard, Michael and Henri, who along with John were instrumental in claiming the establishment of a Luxembourg consulate in the United States. These people were all residing in Springbrook, Jackson County, Iowa at the time.
