Hi, I just came across this message on the forum, and my curiosity urged me to write. My great great grandpa was Peter Weis and although we know little about him, we believe that he was born around 1834 in Luxembourg, Germany. He later emigrated to Iowa, USA. He married and four girls: Mary, Julia, Alice, Anna and four boys: Henry, Edward, Peter and John. If any of this information matches with yours or we could possibly have a connection of some kind please reply, and I will give you more dates and information.
