I'm a 30 year old adopted child who has always known my birthfather's name but never searched very hard for him, until now. I've just been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time and would like to find him for medical history reasons and personal reasons. I have no desire to hurt him or his family or be in his life anymore than he would like me to be. Here is the info I have.
I've been told my father's name is William Weise/Weiss/Weis, perhaps Junior or the II or even III. His name might even be spelled Wise. I'm not 100% sure. My birthmother has forgotten. I was told he was jewish and of german descent and that his family was from the Chicago area (Wilmette?). He attended college in 1970 in Cincinatti, OH, where I was conceived. I think he started out school with the goal of being an attorney, although he was young at the time so whether he actually ever became one is unknown. He would be somewhere around 48-52 years old now. My birthmother's name is Victoria. From what I understand, they had a brief relationship while she was in highschool and he was in college.
Any information would be appreciated. I desperately would like to find out the cancer history of his family. I already know there is no cancer on my birthmother's side of the family and I am considering genetic testing.
