Very interesting! Then your Robert is NOT Robert N.---But, who was the Joseph Wier who married Hannah McCrery 5 Apr 1806 in Botetourt? Also--did he die before the 1810 Census---since a Hannah Wier is head of household 1810?
I have to remind myself that some of these early pioneers were just passing thru, as they traveled down the Valley of VA and may not be related to the ones who settled in a certain county. Back to square 1---your Robert, born Botetourt 1804 is of an age to be son, gr.son, or nephew of James,Sr whose wife was 20 years his jr. according to pension app.
