WEIRS in Belfast (if at first you don't succeed...)
Hello out there, friends and distant family.
Here is my situation:
My gfather was ISAAC WEIR, born 1899 Belfast...he served in World War I (MAYBE with the 36th Ulsters)...Isaac's siblings were Athelina, Mary Ann, Robert Jr, Susanna, William, Samuel and Matthew.
Father of the brood was Robert Weir Sr. and Margaret "Maggie" Stafford (both born in the 1860s, married 1888). Robert's parents were probably named Thomas and (maybe) Athelina.
The Weir family lived on the following streets in their years: Pernau, Wigton, Upper Frank, all in Belfast.
Anybody hearing any bells ringing? Help would be appreciated more than I can convey with mere words. As it is, I have seen very little movement with my personal search in the past years.
Kindest regards,
Glenn Weir
