Presbyt. Weirs in BELFAST
So far, it's been no-go for me to hook up with ANYONE who has Presbyterian Weirs in their history, from Belfast. I will list some names and dates, and see if anything rings a bell for you. Dates are not 100% but very accurate nonetheless:
THOMAS WEIR (b.?1840?)
married a woman perhaps named:
ATHELINA (b.?1840?)
THOMAS & ATHELINA had a number of children, one of whom was my great-grandfather:
ROBERT WEIR (b.?1860 d.?1925),
who married a woman named:
MARGARET STAFFORD (b.?1865 d.?1925)
ROBERT & MAGGIE had children:
ATHELINA
MARY ANN, who might've married an Elliot
ROBERT JR., who lived Upper Frank St. Belfast
SUSANNA, who became Mrs. Long and lived Upper Frank Street, Belfast
WILLIAM
ISAAC (b.1899)
SAMUEL
MATTHEW
As far as I know, my family is/was Prebyterian Scots-Irish. Surely there must be a source for me somewhere? Robert & Margaret Weir lived in several places in Belfast --- Pernau St., Wigton St., Upper Frank St., etc, etc.
Reply if ANYTHING rings even the smallest bell.
Thanks.
GLENN WEIR
