I have found her as Mary Alder (census-taker probably misheard the name -- then again, he also misspelled the township as Monitau) with the family in the 1850 census for the Moniteau Township in Cooper County (district 23, family 1545) rather than Moniteau County.
It is confusing that Moniteau is in Cooper. The post office was Pisgah.
I believe that the 1850 census is showing her birthplace and that of her husband and children as Germany. If so, you may need to look at German records for more information on other Weingartners.
There is always the chance she is related to other Weingartners who also immigrated to this area, of course.
I do see that she and Cornelius Alter were buried in Annunciation Catholic Cemetery in California, Moniteau Co., MO.Many of the Weingartners there are descended from Lorenz Weingartner, who was born in 1814 and is buried in the Catholic Cemetery in Cedron.I think most if not all of the Weingartners in these two cemeteries descend from Lorenz and Margaretha Weingartner, who immigrated in about 1848.
