I'm looking for more information on Peter Weingarth/Winegard, my gggrandfather, b. 1810 in Germany, d. Apr 28, 1855 in Rock Island County, Illinois. I have info on his descendants, but he evidently just dropped into the Illinois wilderness in the 1840's.
He was married to Rachel Bitner, (b. 1819, d. Apr 3, 1854) on Jan. 7, 1843 in Rock Island County, Illinois. Does anyone have info on his parents or siblings?
