My great-grandfather, John Frederick Ernst WEANER, was born in 1821 in either BAVARIA or PRUSSIA. I was told that his father's first name started with an "F". John's parents were wealthy landowners who owned a large estate on the Rhine River in Germany. The first concrete evidence that I have of him and his wife, Marie Frederica SCHNOHARDT, is his naturalization papers from Butler Co., OH. He died and was buried in Saratoga, Randolph Co., IN. I have been given 3 earlier spellings for the name. WIENER, WEINER, and WEIMER. I have not been able to find out anymore on his ancesters. If you, or anyone you know, can shed any light on them I would appreciate having the information. I do have WEANER cousins in So. IN and in IL.
Ben
