Mrs. Caroline E. Weil, wife of John W. Weil died Sunday afternoon at 5:30 o’clock at the family residence on the Dayton gravel road, three miles east of the city. Infirmities of age caused her death. Mrs. Weil was born December 19, 1829, and she had lived in Tippecanoe county all her life. She was a member of the Salem Reformed church and during her long life was the author of many kind acts. She is survived by a husband and four children, Jacob Weil of Crawfordsville, IN, and the Misses Carrie, Emma, Amelia Weil, of this city. The funeral was held at 2:45 o’clock Tuesday afternoon from the residence. Rev. Conrad Hassell and Rev. L.S. Smith officiated. Internment was in Springvale cemetery.
