My husband's Greatgrandmother was Elizabeth Weightman. Her father was William H. Weightman, born in Georgetown, DC. He married Mary Ann Skein, who was born in Illinois.
His father was William H. Weightman, born in Alexandria, VA and married to a Miss Shirley (or Shirney). His father was William H. Weightman, married to Miss Foster. I am having difficulty proving this. I went to the DAR, and could find nothing on William in the Revolutionary War. This, too, is part of the family history that has been passed down for generations. My Husband and his Father both have the middle name of Weightman, in honor of the William in the Revolution. One of these Williams was in the War of 1812 and is buried in Beloit, WI. I do have some other dates, but not there yet.
