Dave, I have several different reports of birth including Ger., MD, PA and VA. DAR papers indicate he was born in 1754. I have also seen 1757. My basis was the PA tax lists. It is my understanding that unmarried males over 21 had to pay a single tax at the time. According to baptism records at German Reformed/Lutheran Ch in Westmoreland Co. 1st son John (died within 1st year) born in 1786. They had a another son John born in 1789. I put his marriage about 1785 because tax lists have him as single in Westmoreland Co. E-Mail me directly if you wish further info at WTJSTracy@aol.com
