Hi Roswitha,
My name is Harold. I did a little research on your
family name of Weigand and the only information I could find is a Fred Weigand that matches the arrival year of 1881. The birth year is a little different but that happens quite often in genealogy. The information I found
is from the 1900 US census. It shows a Fred Weigand in Philadelphia, Pa. He married a woman from Germany .Her name was Caroline and they had 1 daughter. I cannot read the daughters name though. I hope this is of some help .
The reason I found your message is my Grandmothers maiden name is Weigand. She is German but from old Hungary. She came over in 1907.
