Did Margaret Weidman marry Tobias Morey???
I am seeking additional information regarding Tobias Morey and his wife Margaret of Mt. Bethel, Northampton Co., PA. Tobias' gravestone provides these facts: Tobias died Sept. 29, 1881, age 92 years, 8 months, 28 days. This computes to a birthdate of Dec. 3, 1788.
Margaret's gravestone provides these facts: died Nov. 20, 1890
age 98 years, 8 m. 23 days - which computes to a birthdate of Feb. 28, 1792. Both are buried in the Reformed Cemetery in Upper Mt. Bethel, PA.
Some researchers online state that Margaret is the daughter on Daniel Weidman.
Anna Margaret Weidman whose parents are Daniel Weidman and Anna Margaret, was born 21 JAN 1793. This is the birthdate that others have tagged to Margaret Morey, saying that she is the daughter of Daniel Weidman. Using the computed birthdate of Feb. 28, 1792, for Margaret Morey, I have searched the Mt. Bethel birth records for a female child born on or about Feb. 28, 1792 and found that there are no births listed in the Stone Church records of a child born on this date, or a date close to it.
Could Tobias Morey have married twice? First to Margaret Weidman, born 21 JAN 1793, and second to the Margaret buried with him with a birthdate of about Feb. 28, 1792? Does any one have a will for Daniel Weidman or other document that proves a relationship to the Weidman family?
