1729-1731 Karl Weibel born between these dates believed to be in Hammerschmiede, Nonnweiler Sankt Wendel (municipality in Northeastern Saarland. D. about 1799.
1729 22 Sept B. Susanna Mosetmoher Katholisch Kaiserlautern, Pfalz, Bayern Father Nicholas Mosetmoher and Mother Susanna.
1752 In 1752 Father Farmer, alias Ferdnand Steinmeyerr, a Jesuit from Weissenstein In Wurttemberg, came to Philadelphia. From 1755 he visited his flock of Catholics in New Jersey administering Holy Communion, Baptism and marriages, etc. Father Farmer died in 1786. However his baptismal, matrimonial and other records have been well preserved and published. Names mentioned by Father Farmer were familiar to Walter Petto, who studied the Germans who worked at the early iron mills in the Saarland, the Paltinate, the Mosel and Husruck area, in Alsace and the German -speaking portion of Lorraine, France who set out for New Jersey. Records for these Germans end in Europe in 1765 and begin in New Jersey in 1766. Petto indicates that the immigrants came from the Idarwald, a wooded ridge between the Mosel and Nahe Rivers. Carl Weibel, from Nunkirchen and Johannes May from Langweiler were of interest to my search for the roots were mentioned in his findings.

1759 Mar 14 Henrich Baptized Nunkirchen
1760 Nov 8 Margaretha Nunkichen laater married Johannes (Anthony) May 1775 in Long Pond, New Jersey.
1762 Oct 2 Catherine Baptized Nunkirchen later married a William Mullen.
1764 Karl with other miners left Germany around 1764 with their families to work and live in the colonies. They all worked at Ringwood Manor Iron Mine in Ringwood, Long Pond, New Jersey. Ref#3 Excerpts of the Johann Herbergs diary noted “On the 20th of September 1764, the miners arrived at Philadelphia as did Mr. Hasenclever himself from New York.
Side Note:: It was believed that Johann/Georg Weibel may have been Carl's father. But, there is a dispute from one researcher. However, The Paladine Immigrant Vol. XVI, No.1 Spring 1991 Page 15 states there is fair evidence that the immigranat Carle Weibel was the son of Georg Weibel and his first wife Dorothea. They may be related another way.
