Hi,

I may have a 19th century ancestor named Wehage whose children settled in Baltimore, MD in the 1800's. My ancestors were named Bulgen, and were of Prussian descent. They wrote letters to their Wehage "cousins" near the turn of the last century. I have assumed from these letters that a Wehage girl married my Bulgen ancestor. I have records of a Henry H. Wehage (1811-1896) who married a woman named Anna M. (1822-1888) and had 3 children all of whom took holy orders in the catholic church. I have the plot # and name of the graveyard in which Henry Wehage and Anna are buried. They appear to have been of catholic German descent, as were the Bulgens.

I don't know if this is the same family as Wehagen, though it looks possible. I would be happy to exchange information with you or with anyone else who may be interested.

Laura
