I'm still, after 8 years, trying to find ANY information on my grandmothers family. Her name was Nathalia Wegner but she when by Nettie. She was born April 15, 1888, one of 14 children, I don't know the birth order but her siblings were named, Tillie, Emma, Felline, Helen, Olga, Adele "Della", Richard, Frederick, Adolph, Edmund, Lekodia "Loddie", and two that died at birth.
I think her father's name was Frederick Wegner and her mother's name might have been Augustina Heinz. Her grandfather's name might have been Michael Wegner. She always said she was German, but the area she was born in was called "the corridor" and changed from German to Polish to Russian rule.
She came to the U.S. in 1910 and worked as a seamstress in New Jersey.
I'd appreciate any help anyone can give. I can't seem to get beyond my grandparents.
