According to the Headstone in Hillside cemetery, Somerset, St. Croix Co. August Wegge was Karl August Wegge b. December 18,1834 Posen, Prussia most probably in the town of Czarnikau. He married Pauline Golnau b. October 24 1834 about 1859 in Prussia.
They had twelve children total although most did not make it to adulthood.
Karl August Wegge and Pauline along with Paul, Theodore, Gustav, Mattie and Augusta arrived in Baltimore MD on 23rd of May of 1870 aboard the steamship "Berlin". Two weeks later they show on the 1870 US CENSUS of Somerset, St Croix Co. Wisconsin.
Paul Wegge (b. June 17, 1861)Posen, Prussia (d.April 23, 1906).
Paul never married he had severe epilepsy.

Theodore (b. March 1865)Posen, Prussia died Jan 12, 1931 Washington Co., MN he married Anna Maria ?? born 1899, they are both buried in Hillside Cemetery along with their sons Henry and Ernst A. Wegge.

Gustav F. Wegge b. June 22, 1867 Posen, Prussia died may 5, 1950 married Hellena Alvina Wolter in Polk Co., Wisconsin (b March 29, 1881), she died on (Jan 02, 1938) of a head injury from a car accident,on New Years Day. They had children Carl A.,Erna, Edna, Hellena, Helma and Ema. Son Carl and daughter Erna are buried in Hillside cemetery, Somerset next to their parents.

The yougest child of Karl August Wegge and Pauline was Emil William Wegge born in Somerset,St. Croix Co., Wisconsin b.August 31, 1875 he married Martha Wegener(Wagner) b.April 5, 1886 in Prussia, daughter of Wilhelm Wegener and Augusta Mielke who emigrated to Stillwater, Minnesota on April 9, 1891.
Martha's Wegener brother Otto Wagner,his wife Anna Butske and his children are also buried in Hillside cemetery.
Emil W. Wegge and Martha had three children Arthur W. married Muriel M. Doar,Ella who married Ernest Wichelmann(they are buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Osceola, Polk Co.,WI) and Flora Wegge who married Arnold W. Gierke. Arthur and Flora are also buried at Hillside along side Emil and Martha Wegge.
