I need a little help! Trying to figure out the Weese-Harwick connection and have some puzzles! I know that Caroline Harwick (1840-1879) d/o my ggrandfather Thomas J. Harwick married John W. Lacey (1840-1889) and their daughter Fannie Lacey (1873-1943)married Leonard C. Weese (1872-1938) children Ida and Mary. I also have their other daughter Sarah Matilda Lacey (1872-1960)married to Edward John Weese (1868-1946). In Census records:
1860 Census Thomas Harwick is 40 yrs. with Milton, age 10, shown in the home of Franklin Dunn, age 27, at 429-415 (Series: M653 Roll:179 Page 58). Also in the home is Malinda, age 53 S.C. and Eliza A. Smith, age 3. Malinda may be the daughter of Jacob Harwick, sister to Thomas. Information on Malinda has not been found.

1870 Census finds Eliza Smith, age 12, living in the home of John 35 and Ann 30 Winchel. Betsey Dun 69 "lives with daughter" is also in the home at Duncan's Mill, Isabel, Fulton, Illinois.
1900 Census Isabel, Fulton, Illinois finds Eliza Weese, age 41, wife of Taylor Weese, age 41 June 1858 Illinois, married 23 years. Eliza has had 5 children with 2 living. She was born October 1858 in Illlinois; Eva, daughter, age 7 Sept 1892; Perry C., son, age 6 May 1894; Paul E., son, age 2, 1897; Milbern Smith, step-son, age 15, Dec 1884; Mary Smith, step-daughter, age 19 Feb 1881.
1900 Census, Ipava, Pleasant, Fulton, Illinois; household 7-8: Edward J. Weese, head, b: June 1868 Illinois, father Tennesse, mother Ohio, married 10, reads, writes, speaks English / Sarah M., wife, b: Feb 1872 Illinois, father Illinois, mother Missouri, no children / Thomas Harwick, grand father, widowed, age 85, b: May 1815 South Carolina, father South Carolina, mother South Carolina, can speak English.
Living close to the family at 10-10 is Elmer G. Harwick, age - Illinois, married 0, born Illinois, farm laborer, renting a home and Mamie, wife, age 19. Nov 1880, Illinois, married 0, children 0
