Pat:You probably already have the following information. The 1860 Hopkins County Texas shows Charlotte and the children you have named in the household of John G. Wimms on that census who seems to be her husband. The 1870 Hopkins County shows Charlotte as head of her household, again with the same children, and the 1880 Hopkins County Texas census shows in Pct 6 C.(Charlotte)age 51, born TN in the household of her son W. L. Weems age 28, his son Alonzo, age 3, R. A, age 21 sister to the head of household, C.H. age 19 brother to head of household, John M, age 18 brother to head of household, Mary age 15 sister to head of the household, and Amanada age 13, sister to the head of household.C. (Charlotte) the mother is shown as a widow.Wonder if John G. Wimms died in the Civil War?I will check my Texas records.Do you think these are your Weems family?. It seems that the family lived in Hopkins County Texas for many years. Bobbie in Louisiana
