Laura,

I just sent you a link concerning mtdna or maternal dna, aka mitochondrial dna that you will get from your mother, not your father. mtdna will only give you your mother's side of the family and not your father's.

As for posting all of your info on the Weeks forum, I would hold off for the present unless you want to post for the info up to your grandmother Weeks. I did not follow you on whose father is being questioned, Samuel's or Leonard's. Supposedly, Leonard was bap. 7 Aug. 1639 and I believe that is supported by parish records in Moreton Parish, Somerset England. Leonard may have had two bros. William who ended up in Kittery, Maine and Martin bap. 8 Jan. 1645. Their parents may have been John and Angnes Weeks. After that it gets a little hazy. Leonard is probably not my line so the new findings, whatever they are don't affect me.

Always be yourself when you correspond. Personally I only look at facts so if they are said with "dudes" that's OK by me.

Walter
