You don't have a Henry John (or 2) lurking in your tree do you? I have father and son, son known to have lived, worked and married in South Wales but I believe the family to have originated in the West Country so possibly Cornwall, also not sure of the original spelling - mine is with the 'e' but my grandparents were without and who knows before then.

Would love to hear if you can shed any light.
