Jonas Weed aboard Arabella?
Posted by: M Weed (ID *****0284) Date: September 02, 2004 at 08:01:29

Many of the accounts I have read about the immigrant ancestor Jonas Weed indicate that he arrived in North America aboard the ship Arabella, flagship of the Winthrop Fleet of 1630. However, I was reading the Winthrop Society web page which indicates the only verified passengers on that particular ship were Gov. Winthrop and Sir Saltonstall. The web site agrees that Jonas arrived with the Winthrop Fleet, but states that only the two passengers noted above are documented.
Does anyone have firm data to dispute this?
Does anyone have firm data to verify this?
Does it really matter?
