What a wonderful treat, for someone to make a connection with an old news article I've posted in "The Olden Times!" I couldn't be more pleased!
I'm also glad to see that the poor fellow was NOT named "Nibbleton." I must confess that I'd wondered if he hadn't shot John over long-standing bad feelings that John had gotten the better name. I suspect I'd have wanted to shoot someone if I'd been named "Nibbleton."
I'm ringing in the New Year by checking my email after an out-of-town family hunting trip (hunting deer, not ancestors), and I'm about to give up & turn in for the evening, but I will email you soon.
Again, thank you for checking in with us all about Middleton WEDGEWORTH (who should've sued the paper for calling him "Nibbleton").
