I have been trying to find the parents of Sullivan Webster of Mount Desert and West Tremont Maine.

While Brooksville is west of Mount Desert. I suspect Andrew Webster (1769-1851)and Christiana Bateman (married about 1788) may be a possibility. Andrews parents were Ebebezer Webster and Anna Wescott of Deer Isle. I can find no children listed for Andrew. But by the census they may have had at least 5 sons and 6 daughters.

Sullivan was born about 1811 or 1812. And the census shows that Andrew and Christiana had one male child about his age.

The 1820 census of Brooksville, Hancock, ME, shows they had 2 males and 4 females living with them when Andrew was about 50. (#of males/ages 1<10,1<16,1>45 and females 2<16,1<18,1>26,1>45.)

In 1830 they had 5 males and 4 females living with them when Andrew was about 60. (#of males/ages 1<5,1<10,1<15,1<20,1<30,1<70 and females 1<5,1<15,2<30,1<70.)

In 1840 when Andrew was about 70 they had 1 male and 2 females still living with them. (males 1<20,1<70 and females 1<15,1<30,1<70)

In 1850 Brooksville, Maine they lived alone.
Andrew Webster age 82 laborer born in Maine and Christiana age 82 born in Maine.

Does anybody have a list of Andrews children to either prove or discredit my assumptions?

Bob
