Need help please.
William Webster born around 1836 may have been born in Yorkshire ( Harrogate) He married Ann coupe in Preston Lancs.
William Webster is my husbands gt grandfather.
We are needing help to find Williams father George Webster who may have been born around 1809 in Knaresborough Yorkshire.
We know by Williams marriage certificate George was recorded as being deceased in 1858 and his trade was a linen draper. William had a sister Elizabeth born around 1830 in Harrogate she married a James Flannagan in 1851 in Preston Lancs.
On Elizabeths marriage certificate George is recorded as being a traveller. So I know he passed away between 1851 and 1858 but as yet I have not been able to find a death certificate.
We have come across a George Webster who may be Georges father, he was born around 1785 in Knaresborough Yorkshire and married Anne Oxley date not known, they had a daughter Frances born 1807 and a son George born 1809 ( May be William father )born in Knaresborough Yorkshire.
Please if anyone has Webster that were born in Yorkshire and moved to Preston in the 1800's.
I have not been able to find George Williams father on any census returns. hope someone can help.
