Betty,
I have an Augustus Webster born 22 May 1842 in Maine who moved to Missouri in my family tree. However, mine was not married to Ruth James--he was married to Daney B. Lee. My Augustus and Daney had 2 children born to them, my gg granny Jessie born in 1892 and her sister. I don't know anything about Augustus other than he was born in Maine, and died in Chariton County Mo in 1930, and that he fought in the Civil War with troops from Maine, I think his headstone said something about the 17th Cav?
Is this the same man?
