Johan[n] Peter Weber, aka John or Peter Weaver

I am looking for information about my gggreat grandfather, Johan[n] Peter Weber, aka Peter Weber, Wever or Weaver.

I have some old, handwritten notes, supposedly of information taken from his German Bible, which describe his origins as follows: "Born November 12, 1799 in Landsen in the city near Lauffenburg, Black hills of Freudenstat in Germany". The same notes state that he immigrated to the U.S. in 1835 from Saint Petersburg, Russia. He was definitely in Madison County, Indiana, by 1846, when he married a Phebe Hatfield. He appears in the 1850 census in White River, Hamilton County, IN, as Peter Wever, with wife Phebe and sons William and James, aged 3 and 2. In 1855 he reportedly moved on to Kansas. He appears in the 1870 census for Cowley County, KS, with wife Phebe and son William.
Any information at all would be greatly appreciated.
