Kurt -
Thanks for your follow-up. I am just digging into this and found yesterday that a tremendous amount of research has been done - I was not aware of any of this. Upon the recent death of my grandfather, my grandmother provided me with a bunch of documents from the mid-17th century. They include: The original deed and title to the land as granted by the governor, the original will of Anneke penned in English (the one penned in Dutch is in a museum in Albany), various papers of the land including an original 7 year lease of the land to Trinity Church for 60 bushels of wheat, and a pedigree chart prepared by Anneke before her death that includes the names of the dutch royals. It appears that if such is a farse, it was also subscribed to by our ancestor. I am wondering if copies of the research on Wolfret are available from Virginia Hunt? Do you know how to contact her?
Matt
