I'm still trying to make some Nova Scotia Connections. I have Virginia Smith's book on the Chester, Nova Scotia, Webbers and I think that my Webbers (based on Family lore) may be connected in earlier generations than those of Virginia's who went to Chester and possibly a connection of the North Carolina Webbers of German Descent who also migrated to Nova Scotia. This is what I have.. Thomas Webber m. Mary Parker (England) s/o Thomas, Samuel Webber m. Deborah Littlefield (of Wells, Maine) another son of Thomas James Webber m. Patience Littlefield. My line would be of Samuel and Deborah. Their Children: Samuel Thomas John Benjamin Deborah Patience Waitsill Mary Dorcus Bathsheba (kidnapped by Idians and removed to Canada) Joseph We believe we are of Samuel, s/o Samuel and Deborah Webber who married Elizabeth Young (d/o of Rowland Young and Susannah Mathews). Their children were: Elizabeth Samuel Mary Docus Gersham Bathsheba Mercy Abigail Sarah Nathaniel Joseph (b.c. 1727) Paul All of York. To further the line - Joseph (s/o Samuel and Susannah) married Elizabeth Johnson. We believe there was a family split regarding the Rev. war and that some of the Webbers in Maine moved to Nova Scotia - and would be cousins of Virginia Smith's Chester Basin Webbers. Joseph and Elizabeth had a son - I don't know of any more children - this is from my family notes. Their sone was James b.c. 1760 and married Mary Worseter in Nova Scotia - church records - All Saint's Anglican. James and Mary had a number of children including Mary Webber who married Thomas Mussels in Granville Nova Scotia, 1805. From there I am clear on my lines aside from a German Webber - Harriet Webber who married James Mussells (s/o of Thomas) Harriet and James are the parents of my Great Great Grandmother - Maria Catherine Mussells b.c 1845 who later moved to Lynn mass. and married a Bennett who's family was from Maine - completing the circle. I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of the Webber split and knows more about the Maine Webbers who went to Nova Scotia - particularily Annapolis and Granville. I've had correspondence with Virginia and my lines are not direct ones to hers, but I believe we are distant cousins. thanks, Karen Notify Administrator about this message?
