I have a death certificate for a George Washington Webber, widower, white male, died: Pattie A Clay (Hospital), Richmond, Madison Co, KY; residence: Waco Precinct, rural Madison Co, KY; spouse: Alice Lykins, deceased; born: July 29, 1855; age: 90 years, 9 months & 14 days; birthplace: KY; occupation: merchant; parents: nothing available, where born: nothing available; informant: Mrs Charlie Webber, Lexington, KY; burial: College Hill, 5/14/46; funeral director: Andrew Turpin, Richmond, KY; filed: 5/14/46; DIED: May 13, 1946; treated from July 15, 1940, to May 13, 1946; last saw alive: May 13, 1946; expired: 2 pm; cause: gangrenous right foot, 6 months duration; other conditions: arteriosclerosis; signed: Thomas Clouse, MD, Box 457, Richmond, KY, May 14, 1946; file #11811;

Does anyone know who this man's parents were? I find him on 1860 & 1870 Madison Co Census with Clarinda Webber, on 1860 Census, and on 1870, her name is listed as Carrie Webber, however I can find no marriage record for a Webber male to a woman by either name...there's an older lady in the household by the name of Lydia Smith who could possibly be mother of Clarinda (both 1860 & 1870 Census), but on 1860 Madison Co Census, there's a female by the name of Miram (Miriam?)M Webber, age 33...Lydia is age 54, and Clarinda is age 25...which of these women is the mother to George? Clarinda or Miram? or could this be a nephew? Was he an illegitimate child? I don't care, I just want to try to fill in the blank spaces for this man's death record...I type these records for the Estill Co Historical & Genealogical Society (no renumeration for me, I just love doing it) and don't like to leave empty spaces if I can help it...any help appreciated...if you have the answer to my questions, would you please list a source...thanks, DCFM
