My wife is descended from James A. Scott, b. 1803. James' father, James Sr. d. in Amite CO. MS in 1822. Kinchen Webb was appointed guardian. I'm trying to figure out how the Webbs & Scotts are related.

I also noticed a Gabriel Scott in early AMite Co. and another Gabriel Scott in Franklin Co. - who married to Webb girls around 1840.
