I believe the Weatherwax property was purchased in 1999 from Marian WEATHERWAX (ne'e ABEL) (1908-2006), the wife of Benjamin Karshner WEATHERWAX (1909-1956). An article in the Aberdeen Daily World, "Fireworks continue over Weatherwax property" of 28 nov 2007 mentions her connection with this property. An interesting tidbit is that my brother-in-law knew their son Scott (1940-2008) while they attended Weatherwax High School in Aberdeen, WA (named after Capt. John Martin Weatherwax, who was the Great Uncle of Benjamin). The property is owned by the city of Ocean Shores, which is just north of Aberdeen in Washington state.
