Hi John

I've only been at this since Oct 10. I'm the grandson of
Jane Anne (Annie) Weatherson (nee Silk) b. 29 Jul 1906 Cape Town, Soth Africa married to James Frederick Silkb. 1 may 1909 Chillingham, Northumberland.
I have a family tree started in under the name Silk. Jane Anne's father is John Weatherson b. 1 May 1875 Rothbury, Northumberland married to Jane Ann Pile, and his William Weatherson b.19 Apr 1843 Thropton, Northumberland married to Jane Heron.

I have a record showing the arrival date of the SS Cairnavon in England (Newcastle-on-Tyne - 19 Nov 1948).
They were going back to Howick Pasture House, Alnwick, Northumberland from Montreal Canada.

Weatherson, George W - Age 45
Weatherson, Jean Irving - 39
Weatherson, Ruth Irene - 6 (is probably still living) born in 1942)
Weatherson, Ester Anne - 4 (is probably still living) born in 1944)
Weatherson, Jane Ann - 71 (this is my great grandmother Jane Ann Pile - born in 1876, at time of this voyage in 1948 she is 71.

My father has told me his family once had a lease on the estate of Lord Grey. have any information on my Weathersons?
