Hey DIVA!!!!!
What's going on cousin? Will e-mail you as soon as my service find's out what's wrong with their e-mail service!Lot's to type about!!! Meanwhile, I probably have some of the info you're seeking about the family.Grandpa Ulysees siblings consisted of George (1895), Onyx (1898), Veorge (1900 - 1916), Vertie (1902 - 1983), Leroy (1906),Lucille (1911) and Louella Savannah. Our Grandfather's parents were Jaret Weathersby Jr. (1875 - 1913) and Eliza Meyers - Weathersby (1877 - 1911.Jaret Jr. siblings were Issac Weathersby, Homer Weathersby, Steve Weathersby, Mangrum Weathersby, Jeff Weathersby, Charlie Weathersby, Bertha Weathersby - Mikels, Eve Weathersby - McGee, Lee Weathersby - McLaurin, and Minnie Weathersby - Moore.I'm still trying to find out more about our family.I believe that our great great grandparents: Jaret Weathersby Sr. and Ferbie Newson - Weathersby, were slaves (probably lived on the plantation now known as Weathersby, Mississippi. Our grandparents, Ulysees and Ida Bell MacFarland were like indentured servants in Mississippi and had to "run off" in order to have a better life and ended up in Louisiana.
This is a tremendous family we have.I got the chance to meet many of them at one of the family reunions - but there are many of us all over the country.I'm sure that some may end up reading this posting and hopefully we can all chat or type about what we all know or don't know soon.Lot's of love to you and I'll e-mail you as soon as my service is corrected.Joyce.
