I have nearly knocked down my brick wall just beating my head against it. Amd I still don't have the connecting info I am looking for!
My 2g grandparents were John T Weathersbee, b. 1818; Martin County, NC; d. 28 Jun 1849, Canton, Madison, MS.
In 1838 he married Rosalie Fitz ArWyne Weathersby, b. 1821, Martin County, NC; d. 1885, Bedias, Grimes, TX. The marriage took place in Martin County. Family history says that these two were first cousins, descended through Thomas I thru IV. However, in corresondence between my mother and another Weathersby researcher in 1961, the other researcher says she thinks they likely descended through Thomas I, his son Wyatt, and Wyatt's son Thomas. I have so far been unable to complete either line of descent. Other family history I have is that Johm T was one of 12 or 13 sons, all with the middle name of Henry, and that Rosalie's father was William Weathersbee b. about 1770, Martin County NC; her mother was Temperance Everett, b. about 1780, Martin County, NC.
If anyone could fill in a couple of blanks for me, I would be forever grateful .... and happy to share what info I have, including letters that I have transcribed written to Rosalie from family in North Carolina and Yazoo, MS. Feel free to contact me at my email address, email@example.com.
