Weatherred Family Genealogy Forum

Hello, I would be interested in your account of seeing the home and church. I visited in the mid 80s and was shown part of the house by Mr. Bates, who owned it then. He told me that the house was sold out of the family in the mid 1850s and he was able to buy it in the 1960s. He is also a Weatherred descendant. Of the four tombstones in the family plot, three are my direct ancestors, Francis Marcus, his son William and HIS son William. The younger William was my g-g-g-grandfather. He and his father died within a week of each other of cholera. My g-g-grandmother was Patience Lavinia Weatherred, her mother was Virgina Brown Weatherred who remarried Dudley Adams (from information I have received). I am trying to document what happened to the family after that. I have a copy of a document written by Patience's brother's granddaughter. It states that during the Civil War the family went to Belize, returning afterwards. I had also heard this from my great-aunt, so seems to be true, although I have no other documentation. Would be happy to exchange information.
