Helen Winslow of Yadkinville, NC did research for the family many years ago. This is what SHE came up with:
"Christian Weatherman (1713-1801). Had seven children: three girls Susan, Margaret and Elizabeth and four sons: John, Christian Jr, Samuel [only these three were listed]. On 3 November 1784 Christian received a N.C. Grant of 400 acres on S. Deep Creek. On 1790 Christian Jr received a grant of 200 acres on Deep Creek. Christian Sr's will is recorded in Surry County. Christian Jr married Martha (?) who died in 1852. Samuel married Sarah (?) who died after 1850. Simon married Elizabeth DeBord. Susan (Susannah) may have married Daniel Brendle in 1800. Elizabeth married a Bailey. Christian's will mentions a granddaughter Caty Renegar (whose daughter?)
Christian Jr. (20 June 1765 - 10 December 1848) and Marth (?) (22 December (?) - 22 April 1852) had four sons and two daughters. Cornelius married Katherine Renegar on 20 November 1811. (Could be parents of Caty Renegar mentioned in Christian's will - would be great granddaughter then). William married Elizabeth Rial (Royal?) on 17 April 1819. Christopher Columbus married Martha Vestal on 10 March 1825. Christopher was born 5 January 1805. He and his wife Martha went to Missouri on 13 September 1844. Sally married Henry Royal on 19 July 1822. Polly (Mary) married Larkin Jacks on 20 November 1811. William and Elizabeth had four children at home in 1850: Martha C, Sarah S, Thomas, Nancy. They probably had at least four others: William, Jr, Henry, Samuel and (?)."
Then she continues with the line of Samuel (son of Christian Sr). The line from which I descend.
