Hi Debbie,
The name is close, but I'm not certain yet there is any connection between the two surnames.
When you get information on your grandfather, see if there are any other names, or variations that would provide some clues.
Up till now, anyone searching WEATHERLOW has not seen connections with anyone in that state......but you never know.
WEATHERLOW researchers have been stuck around the time of the American Revolution, unable to trace the family back across the Atlantic.....if there was a name change TO the WEATHERLOW surname from something else, then WATERLOW might be connected.
