Dianna, I am also researching the same family because of their connection to our Wilson family.

Richard had two brothers that I know of:

(1) William Weatherhead m. Catherine Wilson (daughter of Alexander Wilson of Derrylee, County Armagh) on March 27, 1851 at Lislasly, Charlemont District, County Armagh. Children:
(a) Alex b. circa 1855 m. Susan Bartley d. 1919
(b) Mary Ann emigrated to Queensland, Australia; m. John Charles Cook
(c) Susan m. Alexander Kelley (no information about her whereabouts after her marrige is known)
(d) William d. Lee, Massachusetts (lived with Susan before her marriage)
(e) Robert b. circa 1856, died 1921 Hepworth, Ontario (buried in plot of Thomas Wilson -- my hubby's great-grandfather who I believe to be a brother to his mother, Catherine)

(2) Thomas Weatherhead of Lislasly (father: Robert) m. Catherine Anderson November 5, 1847 at Milltown C of I, Tartaraghan Parish, County Armagh. This couple emigrated and settled in Lee, Massachusetts. Children:
(a) Thomas E., b. Massachusetts, circa 1853
(b) Robert, b. Massachusetts, circa 1854
(c) Richard b. Massachusetts, circa 1857

Richard Sr.'s daughter, Maria, married Alexander Chapman and had a daughter Florence who married Robert J. Weatherhead, son of Thomas (#2) above.

I have been furiously gathering information on this family in the past couple of weeks. The biggest break was the estate file for Alex Weatherhead, son of William and Catherine, who died in 1919 in Listowel, Ontario, which was chock-full of great information. I am expecting a copy of some of the pages from it in the mail soon, but the entire estate file runs to some 300 pages, so I will be getting the microfilm from the Ontario Archives as soon as I can.

Would love to correspond with you on this family, especially if you have any information about the connection to the Wilson family.
