Emma V. Weast b. Sep 1852.

My theory is that she was born in Page Co, VA, daughter of Jacob G. Weast and Elizabeth Yowell. I have her on the 1860 Census living with Barbara Yowell and on the 1870 census living with Jacob Weast Sr. (grandfather??)

I am struggling with this because Jacob G. Weast is also listed as being married to Elizabeth Rossen. My theory is that Elizabeth Yowell died in childbirth bearing sister Elizabeth and Jacob remarried effectively abandoning his first children to be raised by grandparents.

Emma married William H. Smith in Madison County, VA.

My line is as follows:

Emma V. Weast m. William H. Smith: Madison, VA

Daughter: Loanie E. Smith b. 1884 d. 1922 m. Claude Ora Sprecker

Son: Guy William Sprecker m. Edna Marie Sutter

Any help is appreciated. I am very stuck on this line.

Thank you
Kate Young
