I find today that it is a distinct possibility that John Wear and Mary Van Arsdall were the parents of Maria Wear b 1811, Orange County, NY. Maria was married to William Rodman. William was my husband's gg grandfather. I find many references to the Wears and Rodmans being connected, and this one makes sense. Need info on other children of John Wear and Mary Van Arsdall (Van Orsdal). Thanks.
