Hi Sue!

Yes, although Henry is not my direct relative. His father Charles Weal (married to Mary Ann Downing) and my grt-grt-grandfather Alfred Weal were brothers.

Here is their marriage in Kelvedon Hatch in 1881:

Henry Edward Weal 23 B Labourer D Charles Weal Labourer
Emily Quilter 26 S KH William Smith Labourer
wit. George Quilter and Emma Weal

I have a lot of info, as does my newfound "cousin" Emma Weal in Devon. She comes from Henry's brother Alfred. There were so many Weal's at that time!

Anything else, PLEASE ask! I have photos, etc. I could send. Are you a Weal or Quilter?

Joanne in Canada
(my dad, Peter John Weal, came over in 1955!)
