Date, please-which generation are we talking about? I am a Brandon descended from Edward Jennings Smith Brandon m.Jemima Lightcap 1857 (then married sister Lucinda Lightcap after Jemima was kicked by a cow and died!). I'm trying to research the interconnectedness of the Brandons, Lightcaps, Weakleys, Rutherfords and Lockes to get past MY brick wall of John Brandon b.1753. This grouping of names appears (with some exception in each case) in PA, Halifax Co, VA, Rowan Co NC and Darke Co Ohio. All Scotch-Irish Presbyterians, I believe. My data is at my other computer, I'll check it after the weekend. I DO know Dad says the Lightcaps were big shots, owned the power company or something, I believe. I guess that's why EJS Brandon helped himself to two of 'em! (That, and the kids....)
