HI Again....

My mother is Catherine Weadock, b. 1913. She married Denis O'Neill in NYC in 1933. She is the last surviving of 9 children born to Daniel Weadock and Margaret Mootey. Daniel's parents were Edward Weadick and Margaret Doolin. Edward's parents were Daniel Weadick and Catherine Doyle, and I suspect this Daniel's father was James. However...Dick's family is from Wexford....Ballygarrett, and mine are from Arklow, Co. Wicklow, about 15 miles from Gorey, to the north. I have a huge database of Arklow people...and I suspect they came from Wexford, originally, but can't make the jump across the County.
I think there are probably more Weadicks in Wicklow than Wexford. I've had no luck in Wexford at all, except in 1656 5 men named Weadick were among 28 "papists" who lost 68,000 acres of land. One was an Owen...and the only other Owen I've ever found is my G.G.Grandfather Daniel's (Catherine Doyle)son Owen. Daniel and Catherine married in Arklow in 1826, so I'm still missing 175 yrs.
