I am sorry to gatecrash your correspondence but I am interested in Mary LETT, wife of Thomas Bernard WEADICK.
Can you assign any dates to her? Was she married in Ireland?
County Wexford had a strong LETT presence from about 1650. Before that, misty legends surface from time to time but one version suggests Huguenot origins. The surname BELGIER (Mary Lett’s mother-in-law) appears French and people with similar backgrounds do tend to stick together.
I would appreciate any help you can give.
Go careful,
Michael Leete
