The Connecticut Way Family by Harry A. Way, 1989 who received help from Mary Elizabeth Way of Martinez, CA. George Way was born in England 1614; died Providence RI between 1684 & 1689. According to (John) Winthrops's Journal a Mr. Way with 5 sons were passengers on the ship, Lyon, Captain Pierce, master. The ship arrived in Boston on 8 FEB 1631. During the voyage one of Mr. Way's sons was lost overboard from the rigging. Roger Williams was a passenger on the Lyon. So, George Way knew Roger Williams before he removed to Providence, RI. Regards, Virgil Huntley
